Installing on bare metal

Write the ISO to a USB drive with dd or Balena Etcher and boot from it. The installer runs unattended — it partitions the disk, installs the system, and configures the VDX daemon automatically. After reboot, browse to http://<node-ip>:8766 to set up your admin account.

Installing in a VM

Mount the ISO as the boot disk in any hypervisor (Proxmox, VMware, VirtualBox, QEMU). Make sure nested virtualization is enabled on the host so KVM works inside the VM. Everything else is identical to bare metal installation.
